Four New Cities Join Flydubai’s European 737 MAX Route Map

Recently, a couple of days back, FlyDubai announced its expansion over the European network. The carrier is on its way to launch four new routes to Moldova, Romania, Latvia, and Lithuania. The airline company, after this step, will become the first UAE carrier to serve non-stop flights from Dubai to Latvian and Lithuanian capitals.

This launch is expected to strengthen its position in global aviation markets-marking its first entry into the Baltic region. The expansion of new routes—FlyDubai will step into the growing aspect to more than 135 destinations across 58 countries worldwide, including 35 alone in Europe. This UAE reputable carrier will codeshare on all four routes.

Route Expansion: Flydubai Targets Eastern Europe and the Baltics

The airline company will proceed to start these four new routes in September 2025 with two weekly direct flights to the Moldovan capital—Chisinau, and Lasi in Romania. However, further this year, we are planning to commence it thrice a week in December 2025, direct services to Latvian Capital, Riga, and the Lithuanian Capital-Vilnius. 

Eventually, all four destinations will serve the airline’s Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The flights to Chisinau and Lasi will depart from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport—although Ragi and Vilnius fly from Terminal 3.

Counting on cost, the return business class fares to Chisinau and last will be between $2,178 (AED 8,000) and Economy Lite fares from $435 (AED 1,600). Meanwhile, Riga and Vilnius flights are priced from $2,041 (AED 7,500) in business class and from $490 (AED 1,800) and $598 (AED 2,200) in Economy Lite, respectively. 

So far, the Dubai-last route is scheduled to start on September 19th and operate under flight numbers FZ 783 and FZ 784. The departure and arrival, meanwhile, is expected to be officially published on the airline’s website.

FlyDubai Airlines this way is strengthening its network—as part of a long-term growth strategy in the global aviation market. Since its inception, the airline has built a network of more than 135 destinations, notably 75% of which are underserved routes from Dubai. Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, said:

Flydubai Ramps Up Operations Ahead of Summer Surge

Separately, FlyDubai is preparing for the busy summer season—over the expanded scheduling—which includes 11 seasonal destinations all across Europe, the Middle East, and the Caucasus. It officially started early this June ahead of the Eid al-Adha travel period and includes both returning holiday routes and the launch of two new leisure destinations: Antalya in Turkey and Al Alamein in Egypt.

June 5th, 2025, the carrier started up its daily flights to Antalya International Airport (AYT), while services to Al Alamein International Airport (DBB) on Egypt’s North Coast will start on June 21. With the launch of the latter, FlyDubai will become the first UAE carrier to offer direct flights from Dubai to Al Alamein.

Alongside these additions, the UAE airline will resume operations to several popular European summer destinations, including Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, Olbia, Santorini, and Tivat, as well as cities along the Turkish and Georgian coasts such as Bodrum, Trabzon, and Batumi.

Flydubai Bets Big on 737 MAX as Fleet Workhorse

Recent FlyDubai announcement for European and seasonal summer routes-the airline has planned to use Boeing 737 to remain the backbone of the narrowbody fleets. The type enables the airline to connect underserved medium-haul markets with high-frequency service from Dubai, supporting both year-round growth and seasonal demand. 

A report from ch-aviation stood on facts that FlyDubai so far operates 60 Boeing 737 MAX-57 MAX 8s and three MAX 9s. The airline company additionally has 126 aircraft on order, consisting of 118 MAX 8s and eight MAX 9s. Furthermore, it is expected to receive 12 new aircraft in 2025 mid.
